How it works
Our process is simple, easy and tailored around you.
1.
Once contacted and a package has been selected, we send out a questionnaire to the interviewee and their family members (subject to package) with questions to answer about the interviewee. This helps us to gather lots of information, milestone events and those extra special stories which we mustn't forget.
2.
We then have a pre interview meeting to run through questions & process, key dates and recording considerations for when on camera. This will also be a time where we can get comfortable with speaking to each other and decide on where we will record which will all help for the final interview.
3.
Finally, we choose a date together for when we can record. We then come to you on the selected date, set up our equipment, record you, edit the footage and present it to you in a downloadable link or on a device with a turnaround time of 6 Months.
Packages
Choose from a range of pricing packages to suit your needs.
3 hours
35 hours + of input.
This package takes the interviewee through questions outlining the different stages of life and milestone events.
We'll focus on those important moments and stages which have bought one to where they are today such as childhood, education, community, migration, spirituality, working life, marriage and hobbies to name a few.
6 hours
65 hours + of input.
Taking a look at those milestone events in more detail, we go beyond the basics to look at the setting and emotion around all of those key events, helping us to understand how the interviewee felt and to set context to that moment. This package is inclusive of what is offered in the '3 hours' package but allows us to delve deeper with further questioning.
9 hours
100 hours + of input.
Inquiring further into the fondest memories of each moment but topping the '6 hours' package with a further 3 hours. This package will add detailed questioning of what memories one can recollect of individuals, location, activities, food and all things related to those moments in time, helping to give a clear image of what life was like.
12 hours +
130 hours + of input.
Inquiring deeper, the '9 hour' package with an extra 3 hours goes on to ask the interviewee about those who have helped them, their opinions on topics i.e. covid-19 and how they dealt with this and their advice. Inquiring for their observations of current life in comparison to when they were younger as well as their message to their family, loved ones and future generations.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How long will the final product be?
The time shown in each package above is reflective of the time spent during the interview-recording process. After the footage has undergone the editing process, the final product would have up to 10% - 20% less footage. As an example if a 6 hour package is selected the final edit will be roughly around 5 to 5.5 hours or more.
When do we receive the footage?
Editing footage can take up to 5 months from the date of the interview, providing there is no backlog at the time. However, we do aim to get the footage to clients before the 3 month period. The final production is only received upon payment of the outstanding balance.
What do we receive?
Footage is edited in the format of episodes which can range between 20 to 35 minutes each. Each episode is given a title which reflects the topic which is being spoken about. The episodes are then given on a hard disk or a memory device which can be purchased from or sent.
Are there any upfront cost?
In order to begin the interview-recording process a package must be selected and 10% deposit is required to be paid. Once the interview date is selected a further 70% is then required to be paid before the interview. Once the final edit has been completed the outstanding 20% is then required to receive the final cut.
Are subtitles included in the final edit?
Subtitled edits are not provided in the final edit. Subtitling is a detailed editing process which we provide upon request.
How should I pay if I cannot afford it?
We recommend to speak to family members, and see if you can 'crowdfund' or in this case 'family-fund' the interview. If this is not possible we can discuss alternative payment methods. Ultimately we ask that you don't shy away from the idea and get in touch with us. We will then work with you to help you explore these options.
Can we start with a small package and upgrade if needed?
Yes of course you can! Lots of families start with the 3 hour package, and enjoy the experience so much that they upgrade to the 6 hour or 9 hour package. Families often find that more time is needed to capture all of those amazing stories!
Are you able to travel Nation wide and World wide?
Yes, we can! We have travelled Nation wide and across the globe to capture stories. We have covered stories in UK, India, Bahrain and Canada.
